Here is a list of frequently asked questions we get from people looking at hiring our beautiful spaces.  Please call us if you have any other questions.

 

Do you have wheelchair / mobility restricted access?

Yes, our buildings and grounds are accessible.  Arrangements can be made to accommodate mobility restricted persons in the homestead.

 

Will my event be affected by COVID-19 restrictions? 

Yes, our venue spaces have capacity restrictions based on current COVID-19 guidelines.  These are reviewed when the government updates the restrictions and adjusted accordingly.  Our staff will discuss these with you as necessary. 

 

Please download the ACT Government’s Check-in CBR app prior to visiting Cuppacumbalong to assist with contract tracing within the ACT.  

 

Is there parking available at the Cuppacumblaong?

Yes. There is ample free onsite parking at Cuppacumbalong.  Please discuss any mobility / access restrictions you may have prior to your visit.

 

ACCOMMODATION

In the Cottage, what cooking facilities are provided?

The Cottage at Cuppacumblaong has a fully equipped share-kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer with supplied pots and pans and utensils.  There is also a limited pantry with staples such as cooking oil, salt and pepper and basic condiments.

 

If camping, what cooking facilities are available?

Cuppacumbalong has portable BBQ’s for use by campers.  Ask our staff for assistance.

 

How far are local shops / conveniences?

The local shops at Lanyon Marketplace are only 7km away (less than a 10 minute drive) and most visitors would have passed thesed shops on their way to Cuppacumbalong along the main road.

 

There are 2 local supermarkets, a bottle shop, post-office, newsagent, petrol station, barber and hairdressers, and numerous take-out / fast food options at Lanyon Marketplace.

 

Large shopping facilities can be found in Tuggeranong - a 15min drive away.

 

Can I bring my pets to stay at Cuppacumbalong?

No. Registered companion animals are welcome.

EVENTS / FUNCTIONS

Can you provide catering for my event?

Yes and No.  Cuppacumbalong has an industrial kitchen and can provide catering for your event / function upon application and at the discretion of management.  Cuppacumbalong also has BBQ’s and a large outdoors pizza oven that can be hired for catering purposes.

 

Drinks for your event / function, apart from tea and coffee, are your responsibility - Cuppacumbalong is unable to provide drinks.  Suitable storage can be provided (e.g. drinks fridge).  

 

If you self-cater Cuppacumbalong staff can discuss with you provision of crockery, cutlery, glassware etc. as appropriate.

 

Can you host a wedding at Cuppacumbalong?

Cuppacumbalong is not a  wedding venue.  

 

Can I hold a private function at Cuppacumblaong?

Yes and No. Functions such as Wakes and Family Reunions work well at Cuppacumbalong.  Other private functions, such as birthdays, at the discretion of management.

 

Will Cuppacumbalong promote my event and/or handle reservations?

Cuppacumbalong may be able to assist with promotion and reservations for public events.  All private functions / events are responsible for their own marketing.  Our staff can discuss this with you.

 

Can I use your space for an event with young children?

Cuppacumbalong is a children-friendly venue.  

 

Do you require a deposit?

Events / functions may require a refundable security deposit.  All bookings require 50% booking payment to secure your dates(s).  The remaining payment for your booking is required 2 weeks prior to your event.  Booking costs may be refundable / transferable if adequate notice of at least 5 working days is given for a cancellation / postponement.  

 

Do I have to pay for after hours staff?

No. Cuppaecumberlong has a live-in caretaker for after hours issues.

 

Can I hire your venue for commercial workshops or classes?

Yes.  Cuppacumbalong can be hired for your business / commercial activities.
